How To Live On Kauai

Kauai is the oldest of the populated Hawaiian islandsand is now home to over 58,000 residents. Kauai was first inhabited by the Marquesans who sailed here from Polynesia in 400 A.D. In 1000 A.D., the Tahitians discovered the island's beauty and overpowered the Marquesans. Many of the plant life you see on the island were brought here by the same Polynesians.
Hollywood first discovered Kauai's enchantment back in the 1930s when the first film, White Heat was shot here. Hollywood still loves Kauai with some modern day blockbusters like Jurassic Park, King Kong, Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Descendants being shot on the island. Hollywood loves Kauai so much that many of the stars own homes on the beautiful island. One visit is all it takes for you to discover Kauai's charm. Visitors will most certainly experience the advantages to living in such a paradise.

Who wouldn't want to live in paradise?
Kauai is the Garden Island – green and lush with enticing white sand beaches. However, keep in mind that living here is different than playing on vacation. While the sand and sunshine invite you to play, there are bills to pay so keep these pointers in mind before you make the decision to move:

Total employment in Kauai County is projected to reach 31,140 by the year 2015 (an increase of 4700 jobs) accounting for 7% of the employment gains throughout the state during the projection period.

With that said, Kauai is a very laid back and friendly place to live. From Condos to multi acre Ag land there is a beautiful property just waiting for you.
